States annually report through an Annual Performance Report (APR) on their progress toward meeting the targets in their State Performance Plan (SPP). NCEO recently published several APR Snapshots that use 2013-14 APR data to look at how students with disabilities are included in assessments used for Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) accountability.
State Assessment Participation and Performance of Students Receiving Special Education Services (2013-14 APR Snapshot #10) contains information about the participation in and performance on statewide assessments of students receiving special education services.
Assessment Accommodations Use by Students Receiving Special Education Services (2013 -2014 APR Snapshot #11) provides information on the number and percentage of students with disabilities using accommodations and the performance of these students on the general statewide assessment.
AA-AAS Participation and Performance (2013-2014 APR Snapshot #12) presents information on the number of students participating in the Alternate Assessment based on Alternate Achievement Standards (AA-AAS) and the performance of those students. Coming soon.
APR Data Snapshots provide comments on findings for grades 4 and 8, with findings for all other grades (3, 5-7, and high school) available through links in each Snapshot. For those who want to dig deeper, the APR Data Snapshots also provide links to the underlying data sets that were used to create the figures.
