School leaders play a key role in supporting assessment systems that are inclusive of all learners and provide opportunities for all students to participate in grade-level assessments. These four briefs for school leaders focus on the inclusion of students with disabilities—including English learners with disabilities and students with the most significant cognitive disabilities—in assessment, and the academic instruction that preceded it. School leaders play a key role in creating and sustaining schools that meet the needs of all learners, including students with disabilities.
