The videos, available on\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCnvPMaguIvwYqWrBSgZKlUA\" target=\"_blank\">NCEO\u2019s YouTube Channel<\/a>,\u00a0address simple ways for parents of children with significant cognitive disabilities to support their child\u2019s reading and math development at home:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8nBx0KhYke4&amp;t=1s\">Helping Your Child with the Foundations of Math While at Home<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qH_iL1BESOs%20\">Helping Your Child with Math While at Home<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=chr42Jd0fto%20\">Helping Your Child with the Foundations of Reading at Home<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bgR68kWQ4AI%20\">Helping Your Child with Reading at Home<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two foundations videos address ways that parents can create a home environment to support the development of foundational math and reading skills as students move toward beginning-level skills. The other two videos address ways to build on beginning reading and math skills through daily activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/nceo.info\/Resources\/videos\">previous videos in the series<\/a>, each&nbsp;new video&nbsp;focuses on three key questions: Why is it important to focus on this with my child at home? How can I do this at home? What support can I ask for from my child\u2019s school?&nbsp; These&nbsp;videos&nbsp;help families learn ways to support the learning of their children with significant cognitive disabilities at home and have conversations with teachers to link home and schools supports.
