This toolkit provides easy-to-use summaries of the academic research literature on specific accommodations for students with disabilities as well as companion state policy analyses summarizing how each accommodation is included in states\u2019 assessment accessibility policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 28 accommodations currently included in the toolkit are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Assistive technology<\/li><li>Braille<\/li><li>Calculator<\/li><li>Clarify\/simplify\/repeat directions<\/li><li>Color contrast<\/li><li>Extended time<\/li><li>Familiar proctor\/test administrator<\/li><li>Highlighting<\/li><li>Human read aloud<\/li><li>Large print<\/li><li>Magnification<\/li><li>Manipulatives<\/li><li>Math charts\/tables<\/li><li>Multiple days<\/li><li>Noise reduction<\/li><li>Paper format<\/li><li>Preferential seating<\/li><li>Recorded oral delivery<\/li><li>Scribe<\/li><li>Signed administration<\/li><li>Small group and individual administration<\/li><li>Speech-to-text<\/li><li>Spell check<\/li><li>Student reads aloud to self<\/li><li>Tactile graphics<\/li><li>Test breaks<\/li><li>Text-to-speech<\/li><li>Word prediction<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The toolkit resources are designed to support the work of state education agencies (SEAs), but may also be helpful to technical assistance providers, researchers, and others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCEO publishes an&nbsp;Accommodations Toolkit that continues to expand.
