NCEO has two briefs that focus on considering student and teacher perceptions when making decisions about selecting and implementing accommodations (see the following briefs: <a href=\"https:\/\/nceo.umn.edu\/docs\/OnlinePubs\/NCEOBrief30.pdf\">Suggestions for involving students in selecting and implementing accommodations<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/nceo.umn.edu\/docs\/OnlinePubs\/NCEOBrief30.pdf\"> (NCEO Brief #30)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/nceo.umn.edu\/docs\/OnlinePubs\/NCEOBrief34.pdf\">Teacher perceptions and perspectives on the selection and implementation of accommodations<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/nceo.umn.edu\/docs\/OnlinePubs\/NCEOBrief34.pdf\"> (NCEO Brief #34<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/z.umn.edu\/0624Brief30\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"194\" src=\"http:\/\/nceotacenter.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/NCEO-Brief-30-cover-thumbnail-1.png\" alt=\"NCEO Brief 30\" class=\"wp-image-2093\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/z.umn.edu\/0624Brief30\"><em>Suggestions for Involving Students in Selecting and Implementing Accommodations&nbsp;<\/em>(NCEO Brief #30)<\/a>&nbsp;summarizes the findings of research studies on student perceptions and preferences for selected accommodations including human read-aloud, text-to-speech, scribe, speech-to-text, extended time, and calculator. It also includes questions that educators can use to help guide accessibility discussions with students before and after administration of a test.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/z.umn.edu\/0624Brief34\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"194\" src=\"http:\/\/nceotacenter.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/NCEO-Brief-34_thumbnail.png\" alt=\"NCEO Brief 34\" class=\"wp-image-2198\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/z.umn.edu\/0624Brief34\"><em>Teacher Perceptions and Perspectives on the Selection and Implementation of Accommodations&nbsp;<\/em>(NCEO Brief #34)<\/a><em>&nbsp;<\/em>synthesizes and summarizes research on the perceptions of teachers regarding accommodations. The Brief includes suggestions for effectively including teachers in selecting accommodations and providing valuable feedback on how accessibility features and accommodations are working.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the two Briefs, NCEO hosted two webinars on student and teacher perceptions for SEA staff, parent center staff, and other stakeholders.
