NCEO recently published several <em>APR Snapshots<\/em> that use 2013-14 APR data to look at how students with disabilities are included in assessments used for Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) accountability.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nceo.info\/Resources\/publications\/APRsnapshot\/brief10\/index.html\"><em>State Assessment Participation and Performance of Students<\/em><em> Receiving Special Education Services (2013-14 APR Snapshot #10) <\/em><\/a><\/strong>contains information about the participation in and performance on statewide assessments of students receiving special education services.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nceo.info\/Resources\/publications\/APRsnapshot\/brief11\/index.html\"><em>Assessment Accommodations Use by Students Receiving Special Education<\/em><em> Services<\/em> <em>(2013 -2014 APR Snapshot #11)<\/em><\/a><\/strong> provides information on the number and percentage of students with disabilities using accommodations and the performance of these students on the general statewide assessment.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>AA-AAS Participation and Performance (2013-2014 APR Snapshot #12)<\/strong> <\/em>presents information on the number of students participating in the Alternate Assessment based on Alternate Achievement Standards (AA-AAS) and the performance of those students. <em>Coming soon.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>APR Data Snapshots<\/em>\u00a0provide comments on findings for grades 4 and 8, with findings for all other grades (3, 5-7, and high school) available through links in each <i>Snapshot.<\/i>\u00a0For those who want to dig deeper, the\u00a0<em>APR Data Snapshots<\/em>\u00a0also provide links to the underlying data sets that were used to create the figures.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>States annually report through an Annual Performance Report (APR) on their progress toward meeting the targets in their State Performance Plan (SPP).
